Adishree Kasliwal, born on 24th September 2005 in Jaipur, is a young leader, environmentalist, author, and entrepreneur. She is studying at www.msmsvidyalaya.in, where she was appointed Vice head girl in 2021 and later Head girl in 2022.
She is the founder of the youth environmental organization Team Earth. She teaches young children about the importance of environment conservation and enables them to take action. Adishree is the Rajasthan representative of Green India Coalition
She has been a panellist at UNICEF and UNEP organized Earth Day 2021 webinar. At 15, she became the youngest panellist.She has represented India at the UNESCO mgiep and UNEP climate change video series. Her video on environmental awareness was posted by the United nations India and UNICEF India social media accounts. She is a founding member of Fridays For Future Jaipur and a member of PETA India.
She has orchestrated various drives and projects to spread awareness about different environmental issues, these include Stop Animal Testing 24 hour sustainability challenge and Eco brick drive. She has organised an all-children panel webinar for Earth Day 2022 and has also organised an environment fiesta where all activities/games/stalls were managed by young children . The event was broadcasted live on First India News .
Adishree also makes YouTube videos integrating creativity with sustainability, topics include best out of waste, upcycling clothes ,growing plants in an innovative way and more .
She started a campaign to ban single-use plastic in India in April 2021, her petition to mobilize the public got over 1500 signatures. She also made a video on the cause to spread awareness about the gravity of the issue.
She authored the book Quarantine diaries published in 2020 by Blue Rose Publishers. Quarantine diaries is available for sale on Amazon, Blue Rose, and internationally on Google Play books. The book is based on her own experience as a coronavirus patient and is a battle against the covid 19 stigma which was prevalent in 2020. Her book has been featured in the Jaipur Literature Festival And Adishree was a speaker under the Jaipur writers shorts in the Jaipur Literature Festival and JLF Colorado. The Tribune wrote about her segment at the Jaipur Literature Festival. She has also spoken about her book and opened up about her experience with the virus and stigma around it at the UNICEF covid diaries .
She has also opened her own start-up RE/WRAP which includes products made from plastic waste like used plastic bottles and wrappers. RE/WRAP has been appreciated globally and their story has been featured on various platforms including Inside Climate News and The Logical Indian .
She led a plasma donation campaign for the promotion of convalescent plasma donation for the Sawai Man Singh Hospital Jaipur. She made a video to spread awareness about the topic, her video included the governor and health minister of Rajasthan and the director of SMS medical college. The video got more than 10,000 views on social media and was played in blood banks, bus and railway stations and airports throughout the state. She called over 2000 recovered patients to persuade them to donate their plasma and got 50 donors to the hospital.
She also designed posters for the campaign and led presentations including an event for Border Security Force commandos.
Adishree along with a team of students from her school started a covid 19 Helpdesk to provide information on essentials like availability of hospital beds, oxygen cylinders, medicines and even food for patients. The venture was featured in The Times Of India
Adishree’s team has secured second position in the CAS Project Challenge 2022-23 for their idea on educating youth about environment conservation.
